Please help!!bought a new motorcycle on the way home got pulled over..? |
I sold my old car and bought a new motorcycle.I paid cash I had full liabilty insurance on the car.I thought I would put the bike on later on that day well needless to say I got pulled over on the way home..Am I going to lose my licence for driving without insurance or is there a grace period to put the new vechile on any help would be great..p.s. I live in ohio Not sure in Ohio, but here in Washington I know that you need a motorcycle license to ride. Insurance is optional and not required. But if your state does require it, you are not going to lose your licenses. I think there is a fee of $500?? (again I am in WA). If you received a ticket, on the back, just contest it, on the day of the trial, bring in proof of insurance and the judge should drop all charges. first, do you have full coverage , or liability,? if you havent received any other tickets you shouldnt lose your license, and if you stay clean for 3 months it goes offf your record, but for right now it may affect your insurance. you could also go before the judge and contest it, you may or may not win, but it is worth the try. legally you deserve the ticket. it will also make a difference on what type of ticket you received. such as speeding, or wreckless driving. good luck hope it works out for you. 1. For what did you get "pulled over?" Register and insure the bike before you go to court. Admit to a dumb mistake and hope for a break. |
