I had someone riding a bicycle run into the side of my car. At the time I did not have insurance (but do now). They never asked for my insurance either. Now 10 months later, i am getting sued for $160,000! The guy who served me said don't worry, just forward the paperwork to your insurance company. According to the paperwork... Their is a court date in March. My Question is? When the judge finds out that I didn't have insurance - will he automatically side with the guy who hit me - because of this fact alone?
What are you being sued _for_? You may still be at fault for a civil violation of not having insurance. But they can't prove you did not have it then...yet. What you need now is a LAWYER. And some money... |
