Is there a statue of limitations to file a claim on a traffic accident ,when you are the victim?

My boyfriend was hit by a young girl driving a car under her dads insurance, and my boyfriend was on a bicycle. There were no charges of any sort placed on my boyfriend, and there were no charges placed on the driver of the car.My boyfriend suffered head injuries, also had partial dismemberment of one of his ears, and so forth.

This statute varies depending on the state the incident occured. I would check with your local library they will list all these in current reference books in that section of the library. Also a personal injury lawyer will tell you whether your case will hold water or not. Good luck your gonna need it
I think you only have a yr...why weren't there charges of some sort ???
Yes, there is a time limit. Check with local authorities regarding specifics.
In Calif, the statute of limitations is 2 years for personal injury for a civil action. Probably too late to file a claim on the accident, but I'm just guessing. (The ins. will end up being involved if you sue)
