In the state Of Ohio, no license, motorcycle, NC Resident?

In Ohio what kind of trouble would I get in if I got pulled over on a motorcycle with no License? I am a NC Resident, bike has NC tag, and proof of Insurance.
I once had a NC motorcycle permit but its since expired.

If you get pulled over with no motorcycle endorsement you would get a pretty nasty ticket that could cost you upwards of $300.00, depending on which jurisdiction you get pulled over in.

Having the expired permit from another state will not help at all. It is very easy to get your motorcycle permit in Ohio, all you have to do is take a written test at the DMV which will take you maybee 30 minutes. If you study the booklet they give you, you should ace it in no time.

With the instruction permit, you can drive a motorcycle anytime during the day, as long as you don't have passengers. This should give you enough time to prepare for the actual motorcycle test for getting your motorcycle endorsement on your license.

This test is somewhat challenging, but, if you take a class offered by the MVD, it will be a breeze. The hardest part about these classes is finding an available slot. They are offered all over the state at various private schools and usually cost around $40.00. This will prevent you from getting any nasty tickets. Just remember, a helmet is not required but eye protection is! Source(s): Ohio cop for 4 years. Ohio Revised Code at LexisNexis.com
If NC requires a license, then you can be ticketed and the bike impounded.
You would be punished for driving without a license. Even a permit is not legal unless you have someone with you that has a valid license...
Driving without a License
They are not nice in Ohio...........Troopers will take your bike, put you in the back of their patrol car and haul you to jail. You will have to wait to see a magistrate in order to be released. You will be slapped with a Violation of a driving license restriction or lack of endorsement charge which can get you as much as 1 year in jail and a nasty fine. You most likely will not see your bike again unless you are willing to fight a lengthy battle in court. Don't do it.......it is not worth it. Why would you want to drive in Ohio anyway? It is the armpit of the US..............
