Dodgy garage? |
my friend had his motorbike stolen from the garage he left it at to get repaired anyway the police were informed etc and the garage said they would get in touch with their insurance company and to go in the next day and he would let my friend know wat was happening -he went bk and there were 2 guys there who said they weren`t going to pay as the bike might turn up i rang them yesterday as my friend was really upset about it and was told that they had informed their insurance company on friday and would keep us informed i found out today that that im meant to get their details which i didnt realise so we went down and i could tell he was trying his hardest to fob us off as he couldnt find paperwork etc but managed to get the name and number of the insurance company anyway 10 mins later i phoned up and can you believe that he was just informing them and is now all being sorted as were told to let our insurance know and they would deal with it for us am soooooooo p****d off do you think i should write to him telling him how much stress its caused Have a word with police and let them sort all details out. Just give all your information to your insurance company,they should handle it.Explain ALL that has happened. In the US insureds have between 2 weeks and sometimes up to 30 days to file a claim with their insurance company (some insurance companies even allow 60 days to file a claim). Unfortunately all you can do is file a police report and try to keep everyone on their toes by calling them daily for a status report. Sorry! Good luck! I'm afraid you'r not in a very good position with this one so i would be as co-operative as possible with the garage until you get paid out. When you do, walk away and tell as many people as possible about the shoddy treatment you recieved as most garages survive off a good reputation and word of mouth. You might not think it but rumours can seriously dent their reputation so hit them where it hurts. |
