Can someone sue if they get hurt on your property? |
I was just wondering because i heard someone said this and i want to know if it is true. If someone is on someone's property riding a dirt bike or four wheeler and gets hurt. would that person who got hurt be able to sue the person who property it is?..........even if you have no trespassing signs up?.... And if they dont have any insurance on the property would it come out of there pocket?.. Didn't I already answer this? Yes they can. People can sue for anything these days. Wether they win or not is a different story, but they still can sue. Sorry to say it, but yes. Sure as hell they can sue you. I dont exactly know how. But they can. yes they can because you are the home owner and you are responsible for keeping the home and property safe from harm, if this is happening to you, get a laywer BEFORE you go to court GOOD LUCK They can sue the property owners, and if there was negligence involved then they might even win the law suit. If there is no homeowners insurance, then the owners would be liable for the damages awarded. sure they can sue. sueing does not mean they have a case against you. they would have a case against you if your place is deemed as dangerous. for e.g. even if you have no trespassing sign and a burgler comes into your house, and if you have a huge hole in your garden, and the idiot burgler falls into it, he can sue you. but if you had put up a sign around the hole to say "watch out, there's a hole here", then you're quite safe. They can sue..now whether they win or not is another story. People sued Mcdonalds because they had large butts due to eating massive quantities of bigmacs so yeah they can sue. |
