How much should i expect to pay for insurance on a motorcycle? |
I have been under my dads name for 20 years now, but i want to buy a crotch rocket. 2006 kawasaki zx6r 636cc. I just want liability because i am buying this bike from a friend. I have never had a speeding ticket or got in a wreck and have been driving for 5 years. What kind of price range should i be expecting to pay per month or so? thanks! The details of the coverages and premiums for 2006 KAWASAKI ZX636-C1 are: 12 month policy rate: $143.00 Bodily Injury Liability(BI)20/40$86.00 Property Damage Liability(PD)15M$56.00 Personal Injury Protection(PIP)REJ$.00 Medical Payments(MED)REJ$.00 Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury(UMBI)REJ$.00 Comprehensive(COMP)REJ$.00 Uninsured Motorist Property Damage(UMPD)REJ$.00 Collision(COLL)REJ$.00 Source(s): http://www.geico.com/cycle/about/shop.ht... $150 a year if you live in fla you dont gotta have any Tt thing you can do is to pick out at least three insurance companies that you trust. Call them and get a quote. You do not have to buy, and the quote is free. But then you will know exactly what it will cost you. It really depends on your insurance. The thing about a motorcycle is that it is listed as a luxory item i believe. My friends pay less than 200 a year for just liabilty and they tell me thats the way to go. Getting full coverage on a bike would probally cost you your first born. Hope this helps. Until you reach (25) it's going to be costly. Unsure $$.$$ But I would guess... 1 1/2 too 2 times as much for motorcycle insurance as what it would be for auto insurance. Reason - Still under (25). You can go on line with Acceptance Insurance and the "Gecko(?)" Insurance and see if rates would be lower. Good Luck |
