Insurance for a diabetic on an R1 - help?

I'm 34, got no no claims, been quoted 拢8000 for a yr to cover an R1. Help. Would love an R1 before I loose the feel for bikes.

Your aving a laugh my friend ! just got some insurance from a company called H&R Insurance services 01224 84 83 82 WWW.insurance2000.co.uk They gave me good price for my bike Honda CBR1100 XX super blackbird with only 2 years no claims just over 拢300

ridiculous. 8000 is a lot of money. Here in the states insurance for my honda vfr is only 1100 a year. Not a diabetic, but they dont even ask that question here. Sorry wish I could help you more.
