How much does it cost to insure a scooter??


I am considering buying a scooter (125cc) to commute to and from work. I am 29 and live in Tottenham, North London. How much approximately would I expect to pay in insurance - I plan to pay about 拢1000 for a bike.

My first scooter cost about 拢180 for a year to insure through Bennetts.

That was on a brand new 06 Piaggio 49cc.

It has just been renewed and has gone down to 拢138.

The AA have a good quote system, as do Moneymarket.com and Confused.com, I found that OneQuote Direct ended up saving me over 拢300 on my car insurance this year with a much better policy, so they may be worth a click.
