In Texas, can you cancel a motorcyle purchase? If so, up to how long do you have to cancel? |
I just bought a motorcycle yesterday. I used a loan check that I got through my bank. They wont let me take it off of the lot until I have insurance (even though I have a trailor) and I want my bike now but I dont have my license yet and I was just going to keep it in my garage for now. They wont let me, so I want to cancel the purchase. Is this possible? How much time do I have to cancel it? the law states that you have three days in which you can decide if you want to keep a vehicle. look at the contract and it should tell you. Source(s): consumer Auto is the best place to find out. check yellow pages yo that rocks I thought you wanted to bring it back after you dumped it. Sounds like your in a catch-22. Can't get your license without the bike, cant get your bike without a license. Get a learning permit from the DMV and call your insurance company and get insurance with maximum medical attached to it. Been riding for a lot of years, always licenced, insured with full face helmet. First bike payed for itself in saved gas after 82,000 miles up to 3 days to get out of the contract You can get an insurance binder without a motorcycle license. I did. Just make sure you don't crash the bike on the way home, because insurance won't cover it when they find out you didn't have a license. |
