New Dora Bike?

My 3 yr old has been wanting a bike with training wheels for quite some time now. We went to Wal Mart and when I put her on the 12" one, her feet were not touching the ground. Just the tips of her toes (barely). Do you think this bike it too big for her? I don't want to buy a smaller one (10") because she will soon outgrow it, and her tricycle just seems too small. Would you wait a few more months until her feet can touch the ground, or just buy it and see how she does? We already have a helmet and knee/elbow pads that she wears while on the tricycle.

I say that you should buy it. 3 is the usual age of the toddler growth spurt. She will soon grow into it. If she struggles riding it when her feet dont touch the ground then just let her ride her trycicle and tell her that as soon as she is big enough you can transfer her to the training wheeled bike. Good Luck!! I know its hard determining what to buy for growing toddlers!!

Yes, get the 12inch bike. The 12 inch one was too small for my daughter when she was that age and I had to get her the 16inch one. But, my little girl has always been tall.

I say buy it. She will eventually grow into it. My daughter is 3 also and she received 2 of the dora bikes. She was the same way on hers. She would sit on it at first and wouldn't do anything. We lowered the seat for her..now she goes to town on them.
