Is hair transplant good??

im a 23yr old guy n ive had this big forehead since school... but now its bothering me coz the hair line has started receeding.. its bugging!! im wondering if hair transplant wud help... and after i do it,does it grow as normal hair would or does it just stay that way?? and if i use bike helmets or caps or any thing on my head,does it aggravate the situation as of now?
