Helmets or no helmets?

This summer my boyfriend and I will be riding bikes a lot. He doesn't wear a helmet, I always have because a helmet saved my brothers life, although I always hated it. My parents are okay with me not wearing one... But it just seems weird for me. No one else in town does (no one), and if I'm riding with my friends no one else will be.

Usually I don't care about other people, but so for reason it actually matters to me this time. I know the answer should be apprent, but it's not. Any advice?

always wear a helmet. if he's soo against it, get him like a skateboarding helmet and stick stickers all over it, if he has like a downhill bike or something expensive he will probably wear it.

helmets save lives. they are the difference between your skull being scrapped on the ground and your helmet. wear it. and tell your boyfriend to wear one too.

Helmet if you wanna have a skull. No helmet if you wanna cracked skull. In the UK you have to wear one whether you like it or not.

What matters more...being alive or fitting in? I personally would wear the thing.

If you care about what everyone else says or does, go ahead, be an idiot, don't wear it.
But, if you want to be safe, and if you choose the right helmet, you look cool AND you're safe

Wear the helmet. It harms nothing and could save you a bump on the head, or worse. The worst thing that happens is that you are wearing something you don't need.

I was never a fan of helmets - but with your experience (saying one saved your brothers life) I would wear it. You never know what can happen, and helmets are really good head gear. Maybe you can find a cute one that won't make you feel so self conscious?

dont care about other people u should wear a helemt its for your own good u really need to wear one i dont really care what people think about me i just wear a helmet so i can be safe so just wear your helmet dont copy other people just because tere not wearing one

i think that you should wear a helmet just to be safe. its not liek people will be mean to you for it or anything so i would do it to be safe, expecially now that you know that they can save a life

Get a cute stylish helmet from a good bike store that matches your outfit. That way you can wear a helmet and not feel dorky because you're the only one with one on.

You will be the envy of all the other bikers b/c you will look so cool. Who knows, you may even start a trend and soon everyone will be smart like you and wear a helmet.
