Is he on some sort of ego trip or somethin?

So my bf just broke up w/me. He lost his driver's license due to DUI. And he was biking one day, but I didn't see him, so I didn't wave. He got sooo pissed, he gave me the silent treatment, even though i apologized again and again, and told him i loved him very much. Not his car! And before this incident, he got hella pissed that his friends thought he was a "lucky guy" for having me. And to "make sure she wears a helmet! Otherwise, something might hit her head and she'll wake up and leave you!"

Huh? So he's left, and now i'm just wondering what the hell went wrong? He is 30yrs old, he should be mature by now! (I'm 21)

Your too young to realize he is playing emotional control games with you. He broke up with you --- THANK GOD --- that is the best thing he could have ever done for you. So take this as a life lesson and move on, this guy is nothing but heartache for whomever gets mixed up with him.

he's humiliated in front of you

Men never mature.

He has serious self esteem problems. He also needs to get some self control. You are better off without him move on

He's insecure!

Obviously, the feedback from his friends (them thinking you're too good for him) sets him off. He is probably insecure with himself, who he is and what he looks like. If he doesn't love himself he won't be able to love and care for anyone else. It sounds to me that he probably did/does care about you but isn't capable of holding a relationship with you because he, himself believes that you're too good for him, and that scares him because he thinks since you're too good for him that you will leave him.

I wouldn't call it an ego-trip, I'd call it insecurity/low self-esteem.

He sounds a little immature..your probably better off

Men take longer to mature than women. He is selfish & mad that you aren't giving all your attention to him. He'll get over it as long as you don't give into him.

Sorry to hear about your breakup. He sounds pretty insecure and immature.

It's called manipulation and control...these are tactics people use when they have issues. He has too many to make him a decent prospect for a serious boyfriend. (alcohol issues, immaturity, jealousy, laying on guilt trips, to name the ones jumping out at me.) Consider yourself lucky he's cut you loose and go find someone who's got their sh1t together. If he's acting this way at 30, you can bet it's not going to change any time soon.

Lol it isn't a mature thing, more like a hurt ego thing he's a man he could be 80 & still mess with him. His friends aren't to good aye? Stuff like that makes the impression that you were too good for him & he wanted to drop you before you drop him (you weren't going too but with his lost license & bad friend support negative things get driven into your skull). You should really try talking to him & find out whats wrong. Just a simple 1-on-1 how you feel talk.

he is 30 and he ought to be mature by now?! LOL! wishful thinking there. there are plenty of men and women well in their 50s who aren't mature yet.

the feeling i get on it is that his getting the feeling that the relationship with you may be heading to marriage, either from you, or via his friends commentary. that may be scaring him out of his mind. a lot of men look to marriage as being the end of their lives as they know it, the end of their independence, their wild times out with the boys. and from the looks of it, getting a DUI, losing his driver's license, etc. he wants his fun. so let him have it and move on.

A. he's 30 and your 21 theres your 1st clue.

B.Your not married so why is this question in here?.

Specifically to me it sound's like he is just a self centred kind of guy doesnt give a rats about you thats why he cant date women his own age because he can not act as immaturely around them as he can a younger woman who is easily pleased and easily led.

The fact he's left you over this tiny incident make's me wonder if he wasnt cheating on you and that nothing his friends say had anything to do with the decision , I am not trying to sound obnoxious but when you get a little older and gain more experience around men you'll understand what I am saying a whole lot clearer.

Let him go , find a hobby and people your own age dont throw your life away on a nobody your better then this and you know it.

He is immature, move on to a better man, not BOY!!!!
