Zx6R...RIP!! Insurance claim question. (boring, I know!)?

My boyfriend has a zx6r and some idiot woman pulled out without indicating and even bothering to look (car drivers eh?!) two days ago. The bike is a total wreck, and he sustained whiplash and other minor-ish bruises and sprains. Plus, his 拢400 helmet (he loved it more than me, seriously) is now completely buggered.
Witnesses at the scene all said it was the fault of the car driver, so now Im helping him sort out the insurance claim. His insurance company says they can deal with personal injury, loss of leathers, helmet blah blah, but he's also been approached by these 'no-win-no-fee' people who say they are more suited to dealing with the personal claims side of thing. Has anyone had any experience in this field? Should we stick with his insurance company or take a punt on the other?

beleive me stick with your insurance company, i had this happen to me on my ducati 748 f88kin bast***s you will get back all money owed n perhaps some compensation spondulage aswell ... p.s tell your other half to get a cheaper helmet lol

stick with the insurance company hun.they know what they are doing.the "no win no fee " lot are only in it to make money.good luck and sorry to hear that.hope ya fellas ok soon. ;-}

Go with the insurance. The other law firms are just ambulance chasers looking to make themselves rich quick. They hassle anyone that has been hurt or a victim

If you are 100% certain that you are not at fault, especially if the 3rd party is being prosecuted, talk to your own solicitor and take his / her advice.
He will be soon able to access what, if anything, a personal injury claim will be worth.
It may take a couple of years and a whole file full of letters, but your solicitor will claim from the 3rd parties insurance, pay himself out of the proceeds, and leave you with a nice cheque. It happened to me and I ended up with just over 拢7k. One word of advice - never accept their 1st offer.
