$3800 for 2000 Yamaha R6?

Do you think it is a good deal?
$3800 for a 2000 Yamaha R6, my fav color blue
15k Miles, the bike looks perfect and no scratch, come with helmet, bike stand, and glove. but no jacket

This will be first bike, thats why i choose to go with a used bike.

thats about the right price for a well maintained r6

Spend less money on a bike that will be easier to learn to ride. Buy a used SV650 or EX500. Use the extra $$ you have left over to buy a good helmet (Arai or Shoei), jacket and gloves.

yeah, sounds like a really good deal to me, make sure you check the rear sprocket for missing teath and make sure the rotors are smothe when you drag a finger across them. BE CAREFUL! and for god sakes buy a good jacket!

It sounds like a very good price for the miles too. Man that bike is hot looking! If you get that bike be careful in first gear and let it out slow when you first get it.

Also you may want to get SLIDERS for it as if you tip the bike over it protects the fairings on the side.

You know what you can do is ask if you can take it to a bike shop to have it checked. The shop might charge ya $50 for it but man its worth it to be safe but the bike is awesome and sounds good to me. I would even buy it. Whats the guys # I just want to talk to him not buy it out from under you hahahaha

just kidding...good luck man!

I have a 2000 R6 and if i was going to sell it i would ask for around that so i think its a good deal. I love my bike so i gotta say buy it. Just make sure you keep up the maintenance on it and it will last a long time. Also insurance is fairly cheap on the bike as well which is a big plus

go to kbb.com and look at trade in price thats the price you want to offer the seller ! that way you can negoiate a good price

Hello; You might want to check out www.kbb.com; that's the kelley blue book website... scroll down, and look for the motorcycles section, then select retail. You select the year, then the model... I do have an acquaintance, who just bought a 99' R6 here in Puerto Rico (they cost more here), for $1,800.00, and it had 12k miles on it.

I hope this helps!
Marcos

if the bike is perfect like you say it is then it is an ok deal. The r6 will be a ok bike to learn ok. even though its older and a 600 be careful cause it will go. Also invest in leather jacket with pads. Chances are if this is your first bike you will dump it.
