Does anybody else ever need time alone inside their heads...?

I don't know about other people, but I regenerate on a dive down under a tropical reef or a long motorcycle ride with just the sounds of the bike and wind inside my helmet...most women don't seem to get it!

i totally get that.and wow motorcycles, i love motorcycles, i haven't rode on one in like 2 years or something:( but, yeah i totally understand you on that one.....motorcycle rides are enjoyable and relaxing.sometimes it's nice to just take a walk at night time too......

I always want to have more time alone,and its perfectly understandable for the guy i'm dating to feel the same way.Sometimes you just need a break to be alone.

I think everybody does that sort of thing to escape reality once in awhile, you're not alone at all. :)

drives are great

sometimes i will go out and ride my jet ski in the evening after work till the sun starts to set just by myself going full throttle wind in my hair and nothing on my mind but where i can fidn some smooth water to go faster... if its not summer i will take my suv out and put the windows down adn cruise in the country after a long day to clear my head.. sometimes it is the thing that keeps me sane.. women babble with friends about it, and we dont get it, we do this and they dont get it.. we are built differnt adn my girl has accepted it because when i come back form one of the above activities i am always in a better mood, more relaxed and calm.. so you do what it takes to keep ya sane! ride on!

Yes i understand everyone needs their alone time sometimes but you have to do something therapeutic but simple, such as driving or something you really like to do that allows you to get away and get in touch with self. Women should understand it because we all have to do it we just all do it in different ways.

I know exactly what you mean. I love the togetherness of a relationship but I need time to get inside my own head. I articulate what I'm feeling through art and poetry - poetry mostly. Sometimes I just need a nap or a good long hug. Thankfully my boyfriend understands this. I understand his need to just go roundhouse kick something or spend all day doing karate warmups because that's his time inside his head. You'll just have to explain to the women you meet that it's something you need to do every once in a while to avoid going insane. I'm sure they'll understand.
