Hypocritical or not? |
My mom is always telling us how dangerous motorcycles are and how to always were a helmet when we ride our bikes. Sometimes it really gets under my skin because when my mom was a little girl she rode a motorcycle with no helmet! Do you think she is a hypocrite? Of course not. When its one of her offspring sitting there doing what she used to do is alot different. Shes 100x more cautious then when it was her. She's just older and she is supposed to have learnt. Mothers will always have done what they tell you not to do. Like you are going to tell your kids, but you will have actually done them. No, she's not. When your parents were younger, things were different for them. Your mom wants the best for you and knows that it is just an unnecessary risk to ride without a helmet. You don't have to believe her about the statistics and how very dangerous motorcyles can be. You know, you should be glad that she doesn't ban you from riding one altogether. If you were my child, you wouldn't even have to worry because you wouldn't be riding one! :) Guess I'm a bit overprotective! :) |
