Sportster saddlebags? |
Anyone ever see saddlebags for a Sporty (current model) that would be big enough to put a fullface helmet in? That would also LOCK to the bike and also the saddlebags themselves lock? And preferably wouldn't look like hell? http://www.vikingbags.com/harley-saddleb... These guys might have sumfin'. That's a pretty tall order you placed there bud. Good luck. Thanks B! I think I might be stuck with my Beemer, but am keeping my eyes open. Consider a trunk instead. In 42 years of riding I have never seen saddlebags that large. Instead of a saddlebag, just get a helmet lock. It can attach to either the sissy bar support, the engine guard support, or other areas on the bike. Check with the dealership, cause they make several versions. Then you can just lock the helmet (the metal rings part in the chin strap) to the helmet lock. Since, I figure that you'll be wearing the helmet while riding. There really aren't any saddlebags big enough that are lockable for a Sporty, that don't look like crap. Unless you get one of those nylon carry everything bags, but you really can't secure them or lock them. Good luck. in all of the saddle bags that i've ever seen that fit a sportster in any year, they wouldnt have room for a full face helmet. u'd be better off with a rally pack on the back of the bitchseat strapped to the sissy bar and turn signal posts. they would be able to handle a full face helmet, but the downside is, they dont have any type of locking mechanism. sportster owner |
