Where can someone find bicycle helmets made from recycled materials? |
I'm working on a grant to help a non-profit organization set up a bike safety rodeo and in order to be eligible for the funds we need to find safety equipment made from recycled materials (i.e. bicycle helmets, safety vests, cones, flags) I'm having a hard time finding manufacturers who provide these things. Online sites would be great because then I can print off the products and prices. Thanks! Dead bikers families? no such thing. pedros makes saddle bags out of recycled tubes. try planetbikes,they make bike lights and stuff,i dont think they make helmets but they probably be glad to puy you on path to who does fit your criteria,,,,they market themselves as earth friendly bike goods company they're out of madison wi.another company used to make "tire levers" out of recycled milk jugs,can't remember their name though ask around,also bell helmets has a good program donating new kids helmets thru the childrens hospitals nationwide maybe call the sierra club for manufacturers of whatever you need to buy,,,,any thing i can do to help kids get hooked on bikes...... remember, we belong to the earth,the earth doesn't belong to us. |
