MSF Motorcycle Class? |
How Long does it take to finish the class. Do you have to bring anything like a helmet glove or motorcycle. How do I get my motorcycle license after the class. I dont have a bike to use for the dmv test but well they bring you to get your license. That depends on how you want to break up the class. It is a total of 15 hours of instruction. I did it in one weekend. I think it might depend on your age, but usually you don't need to take the road test after completing the course. It serves as the skills test. What you must do is take the written test and successfully pass. Mate. it's usually 2.5 days. Depends on where you take it. You usually don't bring a helmet but need gloves, long sleeve shirt, boots, jeans, ... They should provide the bike for the basic class. Don't know about your region but in my area, if you pass the road test you get your license on the last day. Go check out your MSF web site near you. Every state is different. check out the DMV Website for your state. Usually they have motorcycles for you to learn on, and the course brochure will tell you exactly what you need to wear/bring. Also courses usually include taking the test and getting your license at the end of the course, or setting up a date & time for you to do so. Again bikes are usually provided. One weekend is all it takes to complete the MSF Beginning Riders Course. Bring your own helmet and gloves. Wear over the ankle boots and long pants(shorts and flip flops will not cut it). A motorcycle will be provided to you for the class. Once you complete and pass the MSF BRC, you will get a certificate of completion. Present the certificate to the DMV and they will wave the skills test, but you must still take the written test to get you motorcycle endorsement. Now all you need is the right bike. Good Luck Ride Safe 15 hour course broken up into 3 days. First day in class the other 2 out on a course with a small 250 bike they provide. You get to choose mornings, or afternoons or evenings. Just pay attention and ask questions.Everyone passes. They'll give you a little card stating you took the msf course and use it to get you insurance. It will save you 5%. Once you pass the driving course. in 2 weeks you'll get a small orange paper in the mail. Take that to the DMV and take the written test $25.00 and they will waive the driving test. Make sure you take your class C driver license. Or picture I.D . Helmet and golves are provided, however I recommend taking your own. They are not in the best of condition. If you join the American Motorcycle Association the insurance company may knock off another 5%. It will save you money and keep you informed of your rights as a motorcyclist.
