What is a good way of transporting my 14 month old? |
Helmets don't quite fit her yet. I would love to ride my bike again *sigh*. Are there any smaller sizes available? this has biking info http://www.aap.org/family/tippadultbike.... They have helmets http://www.amazon.com/giro-youth-bike-he... This was neat too>>> http://www.softtop4toddlers.com/?gclid=c... Good luck so, can't you try to find a family member or a teenager around your neighborhood that is willing to watch your child for like an hour while you go and ride? Are you talking bike or motorcycle? Go to a cycling store and ask to have her fitted for a helmet. You may also consider a bike trailer (for bicycle) or a sidecar (for motorcycle). I would still use a helmet, even if it's a little big. Most helmets come with those foam inserts to make it a snugger fit. Or you could use a bike trailer instead of a bike seat. a stroller?? http://www.ibike.org/education/infant.ht... Check out this link - it tells you places where you can buy infant helmets as well as what kind is best based on how you are transporting the baby. I've seen these really neat trailers that go behind the bike. Your daughter would sit in it like a wagon and get pulled along behind your bike. It comes with a cover over it, so if something happens they've got more protection. Plus, they're lower to the ground, so it's safer. |
