Where does the nanny gov't stop? |
Hmm aren't there enough laws telling you what to do and how to do it? Let's think of a few new ones... helmets for descending stairs, no... motorcycles, dirt bikes, 3 or 4 wheelers, trans fats-clogged arteries, cell phones-brain tumors and car accidents, keyboards- carpal tunnel, hamburgers-obesity, hot dogs-obesity and nitrates, meat-animal cruelty, fishing-fish cruelty, ipods when walking-hit by a car, living in a city-might be victim of violent crime, living in the northeast-might get buried under snow, no breathing-might exhale CO2 Where does it stop? Some people don't want to grow up. They don't want to take care of themselves. They want to blame blame blame... They want the government to be responsible for their problems. They sue fast food companies because they didn't have nor wanted to gain the will power to not eat unhealthy food everyday. So now, as a result, people who do have will power now suffer from those who want to blame. People need to just start thinking and taking care of themselves as stop relying on the government. Just because there isn't a law in place stopping it, doesn't mean you have to do it. So basically, we live in a free country where we make the government tell us what we can and cannot do. Does that really make an sense? Most of these laws wouldn't be needed if the people who complain about them had any common sense. It stops where/when we tell the government-- "no thanks we dont need the handouts... and by the way we can think for ourselves".. as long as the government bribes us with pork, they will control us... It stops when we try to stop it. We need to write our reps and go to their political rallies and make noise. But most of us just sit there and moan. Franklin said that Governments are instituted to help keep man from otherwise harming himself. Hancock went so far as to have it written into the Declaration of Independence. Jefferson said that when government gets too big it must be changed. When it gets too intrusive it must be stopped. Jeffersons was elected president. The other two guys were left in the footnotes of history. A poplular revolution is long overdue. But we have let it go to far. You cannot even advocate it without being arrested. Even though the constitution says you can. Where does it stop? It doesn't! Don't you get it man? It's all about the political pigs empowering themselves. |
