I asked why golfers dont wear helmets the replys were they were too good and feel they need? |
if they had to wear them they couldnot conyrol the ball they say pros dont need them .well i have been riding harleys for 25 yrs and dirt bikes for 10 years before that so i would say that makes me apro so i should not have to wear a hell-met in calif.should i. An American should do as he damn pleases as long doing so doesn't harm anyone else. Like (george b), I like wearing my helmet. In my state I have the choice. Let those who ride, decide. I can appreciate the arguments for not wearing helmets. However, I wear one just for the comfort. The few times I have gone without left my hair standing on end, my scalp felt frozen along with a wicked headache, my ears hurt from the wind roar. I said F--- that, give me a helmet any day. GB I think there's a big difference between golf and motorcycling. In almost all endeavours the big danger for your head is not something hard hitting your head - it's more the weight of your body being behind your head when you hit something. Now playing golf you're unlikely to fall over onto your head at speed - which can't be said for motorcycling. All the best helment laws are stupid. i hear more reports of head injuries from derr hunting tree stands than i do motor bikes. may be they need helments? If you feel that stupid go ahead and stop wearing one and when you get hit and your head burst open like a melon don`t complain to anyone. The helmet laws are different and equally despised in all countries. There are definatly reasons for not wearing them and I understand the arguments from those that dont want to. Equally i always choose to wear one. Riding is about freedom and lifestyle. Ride free Bro and love your bike, if the man dont understand then F%^$# the man. Ride free man! By your logic platform divers are a good parallel regarding wearing of helmets because of that one guy who always hit his head. You'd be better off asking hockey players and baseball players whether they should have to wear helmets. Neither group's head is the target of anything other than maybe a fist and they're much more skilled in their sport than HD riders who aren't flat-trackers, but the occasional bad fall or errant pitch will do some serious damage. |
