I recently went to a metro park where i saw a sign -"all persons using wheeled apparatus on this trail are required to wear a helmet" this included bicycles, roller blades, stollers and wheelchairs! I did not get to roller blade because i did not have a helmet, i dont want to wear one, i or no one else i knew even did it as a kid, i dont even know if they existed for the mass population, and well, everyone is still here. But, Wheel chairs! I thought it was silly, so what do you think about this issue?
Wheelchairs? Was this sign made of cardboard and written with a sharpie?
Was everyone else on a wheeled device wearing a helmet? If not I'm pretty sure no one will bother you about not having one on. It sounds like more of a legal "cover our butts" type of thing should someone get hurt, not something the city intends to enforce. |
