Laws on riding a bicycle?



Any 1 know of any laws that apply to riding a bicycle to you need to wear a helmet is pretty much all i need to know

it is not a legal requirement, but is a good idea
the laws on a bike are the same as when driving a car execpt you have to be right of that white line
You must obey the highway code, i.e. ride on road NOT paths.
Stop at red lights, signal when turning etc.
You must also show front and rear lights when conditions require e.g. at night.

No you don't. But you can if you want. It's illegal to ride in the nuddy with or without a helmet though. And not on a motorway. Or on top of a moving bus.
Get a copy of the highway code

Any BMW driver who is on their mobile phone and too close to you MUST have his nearside wing mirror removed...

Taxis who are in the 'cycles only' box at traffic lights must have thier arials pulled off too...

Although i would suggest being near a narrow alley whilst carrying out these regulation.
