How often should you replace your bike helmet? |
lets say you wear it about three times a week and don't fall - how long does it take to wear out? They don't last forever. Keep it in a safe dry place and make sure it doesn't get exposed to too much sun. I would say definitely replace within five years, although if you use it alot the inside pads will probably wear out before then. I don't think it wears out unless you crash. I guess I would replace it when the straps became frayed. Every couple of years. |
