My little boy's ears are doing something weird? |
This is strange to me but my little boy thinks nothing of it. His earlobes where they attach to his head scab over. He says he doesn't pull on them or anything. I thought originally that it was his bike helmet but I checked the fit and it does not even come close to the area. His earlobes don't look infected in this spot but it is weird to me. It seems to switch sides, when one side gets better the other one will develop a scab. He is 4 and gets into alot of things. Does anyone have any ideas why this happens to him? My little girl, 2 years old was itching and getting scabs in the inside of her ear at the top part and the doctor said it was a staph infection and gave me some topical cream. That helped the itching but she would still pick and have sores and scabs. This went on for a long time and I tried to put the ointment on whenever I noticed, then I went back to the doctor for an unrelated problem and asked for more ointment he said she would eventually become immune to it and he wanted to take a culture next time it was open. Shortly after that it healed, and it has not been back since. Kids get the weirdest things and we worry about everything. I think maybe in this situation it just had to run it's course. I have no clue...I would call his doctor and make an apt so the doctor can see what it is and see if he has any clue to what it could be and what is causing it...Good Luck i used to have those as a kid but it will stop eventually. Oh my God that's exactly what happened 2 me last winter!I think it was the dryness or something but i don't know 4 sure.I'm glad I'm not the only 1 this has happened 2.i usually just coated it with Vaseline or creams like that and it helped a lot.Hope I helped! |
