Should children wear helmets on bikes? |
It is about a feature article that I am working on for school. I am looking for Yes or no answers and why and some history about some accidents that you know that happened or in the hospitals. Nope a lot of people didn't wear helmets and they turned out just fine. You can have accidents walking down the street. Should we start wearing all this safety gear? Nah I dont think so. Of course, people including myself dont like to mear them because they look stupid. But they will help you. The problem is, there is no advertisting for them, if lance armstrong promoted some form of helmet it could really help i think yes!!!!!!!!!!!! YES they should! I knew a little boy that was hit by a car...and if he was wearing a helmet he would have lived. Of course! Kids and adults could fall their bike and have their head or get cuts. A helmet can help you stay safe. Safety first! YES, because if they didn't wear them and fell off their bikes onto the ground, they could crack their skull. I fell off a bike once, and if I hadn't been wearing a helmet, I would've cracked my skull. I had enough of a headache as it was! yes they should! Over here in Australia you have to, I am not sure about other places! Some people who have decided they aren't 'cool' enough just go out, riding there bikes and let alone my brother was one of them. Was in a coma which he wasn't suppose to live through. So I believe it is beneficial to wear helmets not only to protect us, but it should be law. If someone over here isn't wearing a helmet the police pull them over. |
