Does anyone know how much money I have to pay for this violation ticket? |
Congratulate me !!! I have just had my first violation ticket. I was riding my motor bike without a helmet -it looks ugly and I don't like it-and without a driver's license- I am not good at driving anyway so I didn't apply for one. (I really think this is stupid. Why do I have to wear something that I don't like ? I mean . c'mon !!! it is my head !!! I have the right to crush if I want to !!!!!I can crush it right now !!!and I can't drive , why do I have to have a driver's license ?I could have cheated and got one by fraud , but I thought I wait until I know how to drive .) Anyway the officer took my motorcycle's license and now I have to go to the traffic department and get it . He gave me a receipt that says "helmet+not having a driver's license" so how much money do I have to pay , and in theory"because I am not from Cairo", what are the procedures that I have to do? you should be paying 150 pounds max. + undefinite wasted time in queues. First of all I suppose you should contact the court to find out the fine if it is not listed on the ticket. Second, you are right, it is stupid... Stupid for you not to wear a helmet. You may not care if you crush your head but I think it is pretty selfish of you not to. What about your family and friends? Do you really think they want you dead or worse yet, brain dead? Or even worse have to try to identify your body when your skull is crushed? Think about it. There is no court for traffic violations, this is egypt not the states. First of all, chill out for a couple of weeks and then go to the traffic authority where your license was issued. Make sure u go early and prepare your self for a very long line. Try to take a local friend with you because no body will speak english there. Remember, the fact that your license was confiscated means u r not entitled to drive for a specific period of time, usually 2 weeks. As for the penalty there is no specific number, it is always a range, but if this is your first time expect the minimum, which is L.E100 + a few extra pounds. Take your drivers license with you and next time wear a helmet. Why bother yourself and Go ask for your licese?! Just go Crush your head right now.. You will feel better about it :) |
