Can cops track you down if...??? |
Can a cop track me down if i gave him wrong information on a ticket? This ticket didnt require me to show id, it was just for not wearing my helmet while biking, and i gave him the wrong adress but he got my name all right except my last name????? I need to know and please, no idiotic responses like "oooooooooooo ur in trouble" thnx... Good lord - the fine for not wearing a helmet would have been cheap compared to lying to an officer... yes - they could probably track you down - did you put your ssn or driver's license number down? My word - some people. I would say no, unless he is psychic, or if he took your fingerprint and you are in the system for some other serious crime. ok ( if you or bike arent some bizzare discription ) you gave wrong info chances are good due to severe crime you comited the fine would minimal however the fact that you gave false info to popo ( armed gang menber in disquise) thats a criminal charge cops unless you stand out deal with many faces a day probaby nothing Of course he can. You committed a crime by providing false information to a government official. You could be fined for more than just the helmet now. Is it worth his trouble to track you down? Probably not, but if he should see you in the future, he could stop you and get the correct info, as well as give you an earful. |
