How do i improve a small business? |
for example if you are doing a business on selling of bikes accessories like helmets,rainboots,raincoats and etc... On items like these, you are competing against box stores that are big names, but also online. You need to sell yourself as a local company, you need to find a way to not overprice without hurting your bottom line. You can try offering discounts to biking clubs, schools and students, try a new type of sales event. Such as, a New Inventory Sales Event, come in and take 20% off all last years models in stock...etc. Or a Rain and Shine Event, something for rainy or sunny days. You need to set yourself apart from the big stores by focusing your attention on the fact that you are local, the quality of your products, easy-to-find friendly service, fast special orders, etc. advertise in the local paper, hold a bbq for summer, or release fliers all over cars. My relatives made me do that for their business. Very successful. be innovative offer something others don't! Advertise at the schools and in parks. Kids don't buy news papers. Not knowing what type of store or business you have i would have to ask, have you thought about a website and shipping to your customers?
