Question about Harley Davison motorcycle and a sorry boyfriend..GUYS ONLY ANSWER PLEASE!!? |
My boyfriend of almost FIVE YEARS that I have put up with so much sh*# from has really never included me in much. I have always looked up to him and tried to get him to include me in things. He has been wanting a Harley for a long time. Not a problem however, I wanted to be included. He goes out and buys one yesterday ..He bought a Harley Davison Fat Boy Softtail..I think...I hope I got it right. Anyway...I always know not to get to excited because there will always be some sort of let down on my end so I waited to see what it was gonna be THIS time. I asked him when he was going to buy me a helmet. He said he only had the bike insured for one person to ride so I couldn't ride it. I started fussing a bit and then he said..that a Harley has a weight limit of 450 lbs and that me and him combined were to heavy to ride. He said he weighed almost 300 lbs and I would put it over the limit because I am over the mark. I AM SO UPSET! Is it true or is he just wanting to play single? Dear Nurse, 450 lbs sounds too light for a Harley. If you want to know for sure, look on the bike next to the front forks. On the frame behind the forks, there will be a data plate with the letters GVWR and then a number. That number is the weight limit of the bike. Since my little Honda Shadow 700 had a GVWR of 800 lbs, I seriously doubt the Harley has less. It will have more like 1,000 lbs. Here's the deal. Your boyfriend sounds like an inconsiderate, selfish jerk. It seems like you have been the only one making an effort in the relationship and you're carrying it on your shoulders. My only question to you is why have you put up with that for 5 years? You need to find someone who will treat you with respect and reciprocate your emotions. This guy sounds like he either has someone on the side or he's just the biggest jerk in history. Whatever his problem is, he definately isn't treating you right and doesn't care about you at all. Don't give him another chance. Just move out or leave or whatever you have to do to get away from him and don't talk to him ever again. If you want to get back at him, don't even waste your time trying to explain why you're leaving. Don't give him a reason. It will drive him nuts trying to figure out why you left. If you have to rent an apartment somewhere first, go ahead and plan everything. Rent the place, get all the utilities hooked up, hire movers, and make all the planning without him knowing. Once you're ready to move, schedule it on a day that he's working. Just make sure you don't take anything of his or else I'll be watching you on Judge Judy one of these days. Run as fast as you can sweetheart. Don't waste another day of your life with this guy. This investment has crashed and it's time to start over. Honey, you need to replace this boyfriend with someone who's more interested in commitment. Why have you put up with him for 5 years??? He is full of crap by the way. Dump his sorry A $ $ and get a real boyfriend. If you dont then dont come on here complaining of being treated like garbage. Ok yes he is lying. You don't insure motorcycles by how many riders there are going to be. I really doubt there is that low of a weight limit on that bike either. I would just call a Harley shop and ask a general question about the weight limit on that bike or get on the internet and look it up. Sounds like to me you need to go and do a few things on your own with out him. If he doesn't seem to care or want to be with you then leave him now before it gets worse. You already know the answer, Darlin'. You're about 4.5 years late on starting the search for a new B/F. Why do women put up with crap like that?? Do you actually LIKE being the doormat to a 300# pig? You answered your own question. You can fix him by buying a solo seat for him. If he objects, he'll be putting some "hard belly" on that scoot. Hell, I got bros putting huge weight on their rides (like they go 450 lbs by themselves!). |
