Why is it that NASCAR racing is considered brave? |
I raced motorcycles for years. The Moto GP is a lot more dangerous than any car race will ever be. Think about it. No seat belts, and no head and neck restraint system. Only a helmet, leathers and the pavement. These bikes have around 220 HP and weigh around 275 lbs. Handle that in the turns. Now who's got the balls? No one ever said Moto GP wasnt dangerous. I even know about the Suzuka crash that killed Kato. I know that guys like Rossi and Hayden are freakin crazy. But what it comes down to is how many people actually watch Moto GP, especially in the United States. If you watch the GP racing most accidents the drivers usually will slide out on the pavement and the clothing and back protectors and helmets provide the necessary protection. In most Gp accidents it is minor enough so that many times they get right back up. They arent clumped up in 3400lb racing cars going 200+ mph that cant stop on a dime and are setup where they are purposely off balance and are difficult to handle. One thing that is different Motorcycles handle incredibly well, stop extremely fast and the racing in 1 groove racing where only 1 or 2 bikes are relatively close to eachother and a majority of tracks there arent massive barracades but rather dirt and sand or grass to slow the rider down in case of accidents. Most Nascar accidents end up in collisions where T-bones occur, or hitting a concrete wall at a 150+ mph, possibly fires and rolling across the superspeedway pavement 30 times. Moto GP is very dangerous I will give you that but most big accidents are avoided and the drivers are talented enough to avoid them. Have people died in motogp races!!! probably not! nascar= g-forces to where you probably can barley move in your car! cars can catch fire cars flip over and you can get seriously injured think bout that!! Motorcycles racing is indeed a dangerous sport, but so is NASCAR. Any sport that you risk you life on a regular basis is certaintly dangerous. It's too bad that your balls are bigger than your brains. You have a lot in common with bull riders. :) Can you be strapped in a motorcycle and burn to death? NO You drive 200 mph along side 42 other people and some r bad as driver as my mama and then ask ur question Haven't seen u race, but I certainly wouldn't want to try either of them. But I love Nascar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... |
