Small Claims Court in Texas?

I am being sued by my exboyfriend for $3,000.00. He claims to have put the down payment on a motorcycle that I purchased. He did NOT put the down payment on my motorcycle because there was no down payment. However, he purchased $2,800.00 worth of accessories (jackets, helmets, etc..) and is using those invoices as his evidence for his purchase. I have my invoice that has the VIN number and my signature to proove that it's MY bike, and his invoice that he signed says "add-ons/acc" and does not have a VIN number. He has the accessories that he purchased, and I have the bike, so am I responsible for paying him for those accessories that he calls "a down payment?"
Also, are there any websites that can help me prepare for my case? I live in Texas.

I would say that you have the proof that you need with the title of the bike. He has the acc. that he purchased. What more can he ask for. End of story.
It sounds as if you would prevail in small claims' court. You absolutely must have your original documents (with an extra copy for the judge). For further info about the mechanics of small claims court, click on my photo and see the answer about a Maine Co. suing a Texas Co. I explain the process. It sounds to me like you are better off without this self-centered butthead! Good Luck to you, little darling...
