My parents make me wear a helmet on a bicycle, is this fair? |
I'm 14 and my parents still make me wear a helmet on a bicycle, no matter how much I try to reason with them. Is there anythem I can do to convince them? Now let me get this straight... You WANT a fractured skull? Hey you need to thank your parents not complain. They could be saving your life. It doesnt do you any good to be the coolest bike rider in the neighbor hood if your dead becuase you got hit by a car and cracked your head open. No. All bikers wear helmets. you should trust that there dowing what thay think is best for you and even if your friends dont think its cool at lest your safe They obviously care about you. When you have kids you will understand how parents will do all they can to protect their children. I think it's completely fair and necessary. No matter how skilled you are on your bike, if you hit something the wrong way you could end up crashing..that's why professinal bikers still wear them. And depending on your state, it may be illegal for you to ride without one. Look, your parents just want you safe and maybe if you show them you wear your helmet all the time in the future they'll let you have more freedom in other areas, you never know. yes it is.because it could save your life . |
