I need to know what type of oil goes into my 1988 suzuki lt80 atvs crankcase?I dont have a manual.? |
Someone worked on my atv for me.He was in a hurry! He left before it was put together,and thats ok.He showed me the 2 bolts 2 remove and said after u find out what kind of oil then u need 2 put oil in the top bolt hole on the crank case intill u see oil come out the bolt hole below that.With it being later the bike shop wasnt open to ask,so a man at ruaul king said to use ASE30 motor oil. Is this info correct? please help? most crankcases recommend 10w40 but some people say you should use gear oil. it really doesn't matter all that much, the most important thing is that there is oil in it. manual transmission oil 70 to 80 weight, all parts store sell it. In the crankcase, use either 10W40 or 10W30. And make sure that it is motorcycle or ATV specific oil. Car oil will really mess up oyur motor. |
