Looking for a job, but lots of questions.?

I'm just 16 and looking for a job for the summer. I can't drive so I figured I want something withing biking distance (or should I opt to use a bus?). I have no handicaps, I'm good on a computer, I like organizing things, I'm smart, responsible.

I realize whatever I get probably won't be much higher than minimum wage, but what type should I get?
There is a Meryvn's in the area, subway, a new Jack-in-the-Box, Rite-Aid, Home depot, and a mall with tons of shops (but I'd have to take a bus for the mall).

-How bad is working in a fast food resturant (idk why, but I have some bad preconcieved notions about working in fast food)?
-I won't be very busy so how many hours should/could I work generally?
-How long ahead should I start to apply?
-If I get accepted in more than two places how would I decline one place?
-What were your first jobs and how old were you? How many hours did you work?

If you can, you might check with a temp agency about office work. They tend to pay a little bit better, and with your skills a bit of light filling, reception work, data entry, or general around the office help might be right up your alley.
