What is a reasonable price for a decent comfort bike? |
i want to learn how to bike and was wondering how much a decent bike costs? i'd only be riding this for comfort around my neighborhood. maybe i'll start doing it for fitness when i become a skilled bicyclist. but, anyways, what is a reasonable price for such a bike? also, any recommendations on stores i should go to? The primary reason to go to a bike shop is fit, especially for a newbie. Humans have relatively little horsepower to work with, so you can't afford to waste it on bad aerodynamics and leverage. Even on a cheap bike, proper dimensions and setup can make a world of difference. The guys at any decent bike shop know this. I recently bought a "comfort" bike, with shocks and a comfy seat. It was about $250, and worth every penny. you should spend at least 拢200+ for a good quality comfort bike if you go cheaper all you will get is a cheap bike and defiantly go to a proper bike shop. you will get the bike assembled an set up to ride rather then going to places like tesco, Argos. where you will get it in a box an have to assemble it yourself or pay a proper bike shop to build it for you. |
