Can any one tell me how to adjust the front derailer on mongoose xr250 go into 3rd sproket on crank? |
Has a hard time going into third sproket do i need a better one or does it just need fine tuning took it to bike shop to adjust all this still hard time all else is perfect shifting First, check the cable tension. Shift the front derailleur into position 1... the smallest chainring. If there is slack in the cable, loosen the cable anchor bolt and pull the cable through until there is no slack and no tension either. Retighten the bolt carefully. If you need a bit more movement, unscrew the barrel adjuster on the shifter a bit until there is no slack and no tension. Here's instructions on how to adjust your deraileurs from the late, great Sheldon Brown. RIP, Sheldon. |
