Diminished Value for new motorcycle?

I bought a 2007 Honda Goldwing, I was hit by a jeep coming through a stop sign, when I had none, fault is not being contested as a police officer witnessed the accident. Amazingly I walked away but bike took ~$8500 so far to repair. I had the bike 3 days, 187 miles. Will this accident go on title or something, reported by "CarFax". Honda is replacing any part with ANY damage as bike was brand new.
I plan on keep this long term and therefore don't mind it being fixxed, and I trust the shop, rather than replaced but if the value will drop distinctly I think I would rather have it replaced... What say you all?

Paid new price 20,800.
I dont think I hit hard enough to do any frame damage. Probably less than 5 MPH, but enough to break a lot of plastic.

So.....how does the damages stand up to the value of a new one?

Normally if you get with 75-80% of value to repair, they will total it out and replace it.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

If you plan to keep it long term, it shouldn't matter. Ten years from now, I doubt anyone would mind... after all you would have been riding it for 10 years since the accident w/out problems.

Short term, even though it has been fixed, any biker would be a little wary. I think the main concern would be the frame - are there hairline cracks/fractures. Will there be wobble or new vibrations after the restoration? Will the bike 'pull' to one side?

Strictly my opinion: I'ld want the bike totalled and get a new one.
Hope you are ok and that you were not injured seriously.
