A new full sus or a hardtail ?????

I have 2 hardtails and no full sus so I have been looking at this because it is the best and cheapest ful sus I can find http://www.cyclesuperstore.ie/shop/pc/vi...

But I dont know if it is the right way to go getting that full sus

none of my hartails are great so what do you think i should do get a good hardtail or that full sus

What is the full sus able to do XC ect......

If you think there is any good bikes both hardtail and full sus please tell me about them

The price of the full sus is 鈧?,345
拢1,018

If you are in the UK I would suggest you look around before you commit to that bike.

Go to an Evans Cycle- they have 30 shops around London- and look at their range of Pinnacle bikes. Excellent performance and prices. Evans also has a website.

I have only ever ridden hard tails but most of my friends ride full sus which I have tried. If the full sus does not have a lock out on the rear suspension then I would not bother since it takes too much power on the uphills.
I never have any problems keeping up with my friends as all though they can descend slightly quicker I can always stay ahead on the uphills

right if ure looking for xc i would go for a specialized bike purpose built and ure gona get summin top notch with full lockout if chosen for around 拢800 if ure dirtjumping then get a hardtail DH(downhill the go for ful suspension) if i was goin to spend over 1k on a ful sus bike i would go for a kona stinky. good luck!

This looks like a pretty nice bike. It appears from the specs it has mostly mid-range components that are of decent quality. I am sure it'll give you lots of years of good service.

This bike is a bit on the heavy side to be a top XC racer. It isn't too heavy, but, of course, in XC every gram counts.

The real key is to see how this bike feels when you ride it. I'd take a good long test ride and see how it feels on the types of trails you like to ride. Your opinion regarding how it feels is much more important than the specs or my opinions of this bike merits!

Hope this helps.

The trend is away from hardtail 26" MTB in favor of hardtail 29/ers. Most new 26" wheeled bikes are FS, although there are hardtails out there. I prefer the hardtail since I dont ride much really nasty stuff and am a big guy. I would suggest a HT and put your money into some killer wheels and a good fork.......

You get a better bike for your money if you go for a hardtail.

I don't know about you but I've found for downhill you look cooler doing drop offs on a hardtail than on a full sus. I think you get more respect!!

It depends what you like to ride. If it's XC and single track then you might not get much benefit from a full sus. It might make the ride a bit smoother but it will probably just take the fun out of it.

If you're really into downhill it's worth considering a full sus, especially as you have two hardtails already. They're good for taking the shock out of doing drop offs but as you know, you don't necessarily need a full sus for that purpose. Like you, I use a hardtail for downhill and XC. A full sus does appeal though as a cool toy!

Can't comment on the bike you like though as the link didn't work for me, sorry but for the same money I would go for a top-end hardtail...or, if I had to to buy a full sus, I would save up and spend 拢2-3k but that's just my preference....

exc bike. Best french bike. well recommended

hardtail all day every day
you dont need a full sus thats what you've got knee's n elbow's for.

have a look at the new carbon gt zaskar does look sweet if you dont fancy a gt the bloke behind the design of the zaskar now does felt bikes

hardtail - a susser needs a budget for bushing repair every year and they are heavier.

That bike is not worth that much money. I got a Marin with Alivio gears and hydrolic disc brakes, i payed 拢475.

Have a look at 'chainreactioncycles.com'. For around the 拢1k mark, they have a number of very decent machines, both FS and HT. Very good deals on 'Cube' bikes at mo
