What's up with this "well-behaved women rarely make History" business?

I went to the Harley Davidson store to get some work done on my bike recently

I saw some butch looking femi-lesbo-nazis shopping there. They were yapping about how "great" Hillary is and one of them solemnly uttered "well-behaved women rarely make History". They all nodded their heads in agreement, as if this some kind of Universal Truth in need of no further elaboration.

Anyone care to explain?

Would you consider Mother Teresa a "badly behaved" woman? I think not.

Do we really want girls to behave badly like Brittney and Paris?

Marilyn Monroe said it first.

It's now being attributed to feminist Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, and has been adopted as a feminist/lesbian catch phrase.

it`s along the lines of a famous saying from marilyn monroe
"women who behave are never remembered."
and it`s true when you really think about it

Historically, well behaved women should stay home, keep thier mouth shut, make babies, and take good care of hubby and his castle. Not go forth into the world and make waves or change anything, or try to do man stuff, like fly planes or run for office, or scrub in to brain surgery.

You can't make an omelet, without breaking an egg!

A lady can't get far in politics, she has to act like a man, maybe tougher, to get past the macho attitude

This is sort of feminist manifesto speak (dogma if you will) but the idea is that playing by societies rules is what keeps women out of the picture. Don't know that it's true since there have been many notable women in history who have not been radical, feminist lesbians.

lol Hillary well behaved......tell that to Vince Foster and all the minority children she killed in Waco

Here is my answer because, well behaved women do not know how to make noise so no chance for them to make History.

In my grandmother's day a woman was supposed to have her name in the paper three times. Once when she was born, once when she got engaged, and once when she died.

They wanted their women to stay home, make dinner and babies and keep their mouths shut. Remember women didn't even have the right to vote until 1918.

I guesses Hell's Angle's babes don't usually make the news for their good works. Just a guess.

Likely, what they meant was that politics is a rough and tough business, the tactics of strategist Karl Rove has proven that point.

Hillary is a veteran fighter who will go to bat for the ordinary citizen and not cave in to special interests etc.

The saying is adopted by feminists nowadays. It's the idea that in order to make change, you will have to stand up and go against the grain of society. This will sometimes pit you "against" society and no longer have you as the ideal suburban soccer mom cooking muffins with 2 children.

It's not necessarily true -- some change does happen slowly (as generations age and die, and new generations are born), some change happens quickly (with revolutionary ideas, protests, etc.)

"Butch looking femi lesbo nazi" are the worst. who would really take them seriously. respect is something that needs to be earn not given. femi lesbo nazi butch looking women still hasnt earn my respect therefore what they think dont really matter to me

Mae West said "Good girls go to Heaven; bad girls go Everywhere".
