Please help...does anyone know if this is a real qoute from Calvin and Hobbes? |
I know this sounds like a stupid question but does anyone know if the quote "Don't sell the bike shop Orville." from a Calvin and Hobbes comic strip is an actual quote by Wilbur Wright (or someone else) to Orville Wright or if it was just in the book? I'm almost 100% positive that it was just the book. It was a phrase supposedly uttered by a few critics of Orville's flying machine. It's a phrase often used when someone has a great idea that others don't believe will work. It's like telling someone "don't quit your day job". |
