what kind of bike and how much are you asking?
depending on the style of mountain bike you could probably sell it at www.pinkbike.com i have never used this site to sell a mountain bike however but you can give it a try.
try a garage sale
try holding a raffle. you may want to attend a mtb function or race and try your luck there. if this is a chain store bike, like from kmart, target, and such then it probably isnt worth the effort to sell...
