What should be the value of this bike? (gary fisher sugar 4+ 2002)? |
the bike has been stored outside (but protected from rain) and i'm looking to sell it on craiglist. It hasn't been ridden much (10 times total)...what is a fair price to ask (the bike cost 1200 new) and what do you think it will actually sell for? 900 Gary Fisher...damn good bike. Don't be surprised if you take one heck of a loss on this bike. Most people trolling on CL are looking for deals and not a $800-900 bike. The person that buys your bike either will be looking for a Fisher or will have parents paying the bills. The point is branch out. Put it on Ebay. Post it at bike shops. If you're by a college campus, post it there too. You may want to look into consigning the bike to a shop. This will increase your odds of sellling while minimizing your loss. It's definitely not a low end bike. Posting it for sale in only one place will likely get you extremely low offers. By the way, clean the bike. Clean / replace rusted parts. Put new tires on it. I know only ridden 10 times, but new tires make it look unridden. Lube it and keep it inside until it's gone. |
