What type of adapter do I need to pump my road bike, using my regular hand pump?

What type of adapter do I need to pump my road bike, using my regular hand pump? What kind of adapter, I need to look for in the store?

In addition, please suggest me an AC 120 Vold pump for my Road bike also with the place name where I can purchase na dspecific name of the pump manufacturer.

You probably need a Presta-to-Schraeder adapter that looks like this: http://www.bikepro.com/products/tubes/tu...

They are cheap. Usually costs $1 apiece at your local bike shop.

As far as a pump goes, you need one that can go upwards of 120PSI. Depending on the tire and your weight, you do need pressures in that range for road bikes to prevent pinch flats. You can get one from your local Sears.

Hope this helps.
I'm not sure what they're called, but they're tiny brass pieces that have the presta (road tire) end that will work with most any bicycle pump. Most bike shops I've been to have them in a containter close to the register, and they're really cheap and very useful.
Sounds like you have presta valves. Most bike shops have adapters you can screw on the valve.
Why don't you just buy a frame pump that will work with presta valves? Most new floor pumps will work with either presta or schrader. I would avoid using a compressor to inflate the tire, they fill up the tube too quickly. If the tire isn't seated in the rim properly, the tube will pop out and then blow. A patch kit won't help you then!
most road bikes have a presta valve. go to a bike shop and pick one up for about $3
