Bike Rollers? |
http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?categ... My boyfriend is an avid biker, though he does it for fun, not competitively. Living in Central New York with all the snow puts a damper on his winter riding though, and I was thinking of getting him a set of rollers for Christmas. I know that he likes rollers more than the other kind of trainers, but I don't know much else. I found these after getting some hints from his friends on what to look for, but I wanted some opinions. Is this quality? It's so much cheaper than the things I found at general sporting goods stores, and seems to be of better quality too (most of what I found was $300 for plastic) so I think this is good, right? Please share your opinions and feel free to make other reccomendations too! Money is kindof an issue-I can't afford to go too much higher than what this one costs. I'm a regular Nashbar customer, have never had a problem with their stuff and their customer service has always been good. They are owned by the same company that owns Performance Bicycle, another big catalog/web store that also has an excellent reputation. Those look like good rollers at a great price, I say get 'em. Source(s): Been riding and racing since early '80's. I have purchased things from Nashbar in the past and it appears to be pretty good quality. If he cycles for fun I imagine that this would be fine. Although they are listed favorably on the BBB website, perhaps you should check out this link. As far as the item itself...I've never shopped for one. http://www.resellerratings.com/store/bik... I was looking at rollers last year but never purchased them. From what I remember kreitler seemed to be the best for a variety of reasons (just can't remember off the top of my head). Here's a link to their low end systems, it's about 299, The high end was 499. http://www.coloradocyclist.com/common/pr... try nashbar.com they have top line goods cheap and they get it to you right away |
