How should I deal with this?

OKay, so here's the story: I dropped my bike off @ Walmart to get it fixed, a couple days later I got a phone call that notified me that they couldn't fix my bike. I went to pick up my bike the next day and it turns out, THEY LOST IT! So the manager decides to give me a free bike to solve the problem (Any bike I liked is what he sayed), so, I picked the ONLY bike in the store that I liked and showed it to him, but it was $50 more than mine was, so he disaggrees and gives me this stupid looking orange bike that doesn't even nearly compare to my old bike. My bike was Shimano equipped and had EZ shift gears, also it was a mountain bike, this one is NOT Shimano equipped, it has these really weird, stupid gears, and it's a hybrid bike, not a mountain bike.

I was just wondering, should I sue the company...or what? I really don't know what to do, but I want a bike that at least nearly compares to mine!

Before you do anything, write down your story with as many details as you can remember. You can use it to make sure that you don't confuse your story in your mind.

Then go over the mangers head to his boss. Be polite and explain the situation. If he gets nasty, stay calm.

Sueing Walmart will take forever and cost a ton of money. You can do more damage by word of mouth, so they will (eventually) satisfy you just to keep you from bad mouthing them
Contact the regional manager, if that doesn't work, keep going up the chain of command until you get satisfaction. Does your claim check have the make & model of your old bike? If it does INSIST on an EXACT replacement. It's not like they can't afford it. Don't let them push you around. They don't want any bad publicity. Go to your local TV and newspaper if you have to.

PS, I would never buy a Wal-Mart bike, let alone take it to them for repairs!
the customer is always right. You should know that so why would you take that crap from them. contact your local media and inform them that your doing so also let them know your never shopping at their store again and your going to tell them in bentonville as well and I promise you'll get 2 bikes. they dont want to lose any customers. In their pbs special about walmart the ceo said that for every customer they lose walmart looses $250,000 over a life time per customer.
You should sue yourself for buying a bike at Walmart. You could have asked for your money back. If you took the other bike home, it's too late. Walmart bikes are junk. It will cost you more to sue than the bike is worth.
insist for exact replacement, or an upgrade on components to what yours had. after all, they are at fault and need to find a suitable replacement. if not acceptable, then threaten to complain to the better business bureau, legal recourse in small claims court, word of mouth.

or, you can insist for store credit on a gift card for the price of your bike. sell it on ebay, and at least you have your money back to start hunting for a better bike.

just my two cents, never use walmart to purchase a bike. I would reccomend going to a local bike shop.
Wow i'm surprise hun! :P First question i seen you write on hear lol! ...Anywho getting down to busyness lol. The thing i whould do are:
