I stored my bike over the winter with Stable in the gastank. In the spring, I can start it with the choke on, move the choke to halfway and when I go to give it gas at about 1/4 choke the bike shuts off.. I had the Carbs cleaned out about 8 months ago, and have another appt to have them cleaned again. I'm just trying to solve the problem before the appt, so I can hopefully save alot of money!!!
I'm not completely sure on your particular bike model. But you'll probably have to just drop the float bowls to drain the carbs. Just four screws for each carb. On the older carbs(not yours),and dirtbikes, there was sometimes an actual drain plug or screw, but not the more modern bikes like yours.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but thats probably what you'll have to do. Some bikes you can drop the float bowls with the carbs still attached...check and see if you can access yours that way ?
Your bike has drain screws on the bottom of the carb's float bowls. To drain your tank, turn the petcock to off. Follow the fuel line to the fuel pump. Disconnect it from the fuel pump. Turn on the petcock and drain it into a suitable container. Or remove the line from the petcock and attach another line, to use as a drain tube.
